2000 years before the currnet story takes place,
(the story you as the player play out.) the archon war ended.
It was a long-lasting war to choose 7 gods to fill 7 thrones in Celestia, making them Archons.
The 7 original archons were:
-Barbatos, god of freedom
-the anemo archon, Morax, god of contracts
-geo archon, Baal, goddess of eternity
-the electro archon, Greater lord Rukkhadevata, goddess of wisdom
-dendro archon, Egeria, goddess of Justice
-hydro archon, Xbalanque, God/Goddess of war,
-and goddess of love Cryo archon who is currently unknown but the current cryo archon is known as “The Tsaritsa.
Currently only 2 of the original archons are still alive now,
those being Barbatos and Morax.
1500 years after the Archon war an event known as the Cataclysm happend,
where a godless nation called Khaenri’ah. The heavenly principles punished the nation for leaving they’re gods behind and punished them with a curse.
If people who turned to khaenri’ah were to leave they would turn into monsters.
When the Cataclysm happend, the entirety of Khaenri’ah was distroyed and many were killed, even a god. It was a great disaster and many people, even outside of khaenri’ah suffered.
After the events some of the surviving Khaenri’ahns wanted a form of revenge, they made the orginization known as the “abyss order”.
The people of Khaenri’ah that the so called “gods”,in particular the heavenly principles were in fact aliens to this word and stolen it from its original denizens.
They made automatons now known as Ruin machines to ment to fight against Celestia, the Ruin Guards were orignally known as Field Tillers. Because of they’re rebellion they became a target for Celestia to get rid of them.
And Celestia did that, which led to the Cataclysm.
